What you'll do each week
- 01
Week 1 — Log where you're starting
Symptoms, joint and muscle changes, sleep and mood — logged as a baseline, not a test you can fail.
- 02
Weeks 2–3 — Watch for what connects
Trigger Detective flags what tends to show up together — like joint pain and a bad night's sleep — so you can test it instead of guessing.
- 03
Week 4 — Take stock, and take it to your clinician
A plain summary of your month, useful for a conversation with your doctor about strength, bone health and what's changing.
What this is not: This program is not a fitness plan, a medical treatment, or a promise about bone density or strength outcomes — for anything about bone health, strength training or HRT, talk to your clinician.
Questions about Stronger After 45
Will this tell me if I have osteoporosis?
No — that requires clinical testing, like a DEXA scan. This is about logging your symptoms and patterns, not diagnosing bone health.
Do I need to already be exercising?
No. This is about tracking what's happening in your body, not a workout program.
Is this only for menopause, not perimenopause?
No — strength and bone health matter across the whole transition; the quiz places you at your actual stage first.
Informed by The Menopause Society's position statements and NICE NG23 on menopause, bone health and strength.
