Why Softa exists

The mission, in one line

Turn what you're feeling into something specific enough to be heard — by yourself first, and then by a doctor who has ten minutes and no memory of your last three appointments.

What shaped the product

The pattern that comes up again and again in perimenopause research and community conversation is the same one: a woman notices something is different, describes it to a doctor in vague terms because that's all memory allows under pressure, and gets told it's stress, age, or nothing in particular. By the time a pattern is undeniable, months or years have often passed. Softa exists to shorten that gap — not by diagnosing anything, but by making a real pattern visible sooner, with dates and numbers instead of a feeling.

Our principles

  • No false precision. Softa never invents a percentage, a prediction, or a score that sounds more certain than the data behind it actually is. A range is more honest than a fake average, and Softa says so.
  • Progress only grows. There's no streak to break, no guilt copy for a missed day. Logging is for your benefit, not a habit to be shamed into.
  • Privacy is a promise, not a footnote. We never sell data and never send health data to advertisers — see our privacy promise for the plain-language version and our privacy policy for the full detail.

Who's behind it

Softa is built by a small, independent team — not a large, funded company with a leadership page to match. We'd rather say that plainly than pad this section with more than is true. As the team and the product grow, this page will grow with it.

How medical content gets reviewed

Every health claim on this site follows a source hierarchy and review process we hold ourselves to publicly — read the full editorial and medical review policy for exactly how that works, including what we do when we get something wrong.
